Traveling to Hong Kong
It seems disproportionate. Incredibly dense and rich. Superlatives suit it well. Located on the Pearl River Delta, Hong Kong is the link between East and West. This world city of Asia is cradled by Victoria Bay. As lively as it is majestic, Hong Kong is Asia's megacity of all possibilities.
An extraordinary city
Hong Kong is first and foremost a territory of only 1104 km2. The main island also has 200 surrounding islands. As you explore the city, you will discover the colorful Chinese heritage and the history of powerful clans, adventurous pirates and daring European merchants! During the British era, as a colony, Hong Kong became the hub of international trade. Since July 1, 1997, Hong Kong has been a special administrative region of the People's Republic of China. Today, the cultural heritages of the Chinese dynasties and colonial Europe blend harmoniously to make Hong Kong a city like no other.
Hong Kong vibrates with an energy and dynamism that forces admiration, having transformed a simple fishing village into a crossroads of trade and tourism. Taoist temples and Edward VII-era buildings flirt with skyscrapers.
A nightlife city
Hong Kong can also be visited at night, when the city reveals a whole new face. Treat yourself to an unprecedented view of the bay and downtown from the cabins of the Ferris wheel. Day or night, at a height of 60 meters, the city will amaze you on board the Hong Long Observation Wheel. This wheel has 42 comfortable cabins all equipped with Wi-Fi. Once you get off, let your steps guide you to the Temple Street night market.
